Expanded metal

Expanded metal is a metal mesh obtained from a sheet transformed by the technique known as ‘expanding’. The mesh results from the action of a serrated knife and the combined movements of reciprocating translation of the knife and a step-by-step forward movement of the sheet.
The configuration of the knife teeth produces meshes of various shapes and sizes.
Most metals and alloys available in sheet form can be expanded. The thicknesses processed range from 0.15 mm to 4 mm.
In addition to the almost infinite range of mesh types, expanded metal is remarkable for the fact that no waste is generated during its production. So choosing it has the advantage of preserving resources.
Expanded metal is easy to process. It can be folded, rolled, drawn or welded.
That's why it's the answer to so many applications, particularly in the construction industry, for façade elements, sunbreakers, railings, walkways, false ceilings and other decorative facings.
