About this project

The building's facades are clad with expanded metal panels, hung by a system of rails and sliders (Alucobond-type assembly).

The panels were composed of an expanded metal sheet welded to an angle iron frame.

Special features :

The progressive variable pitch of AFR-ACADEMY 110 type expanded metal, giving an opening of 26% to 70%, was designed to open up the view at eye level, while maintaining the effectiveness of solar protection and natural light.
Expanded metal panels were produced to measure, according to the layout, in dimensions of up to 1500 mm in width and 4000 mm in height.
Perfect mesh alignment was achieved in all situations, including at the patio railings.
Anodizing was chosen to ensure the product's durability (corrosion protection) and to add color while preserving the material's metallic appearance.

Quote: “A media library always represents a place of knowledge, so the figure we proposed for the project is a spiral, an image that symbolizes progress, advancement through knowledge, social ascent through culture, but also inter-generational mixing” Brénac and Gonzalez
