About this project

Renovation of the ceilings in the shopping arcades of the Montparnasse station in Paris: the AREP group, with the assistance of designer Join Manku, redefined the station's commercial space and in particular the AFR-RALF acoustic ceilings.

The original concrete ceilings were clad with aluminum cassettes, partly made with AFR-RALF complex to address acoustics, and partly with AFR-A15 mesh expanded metal.

One zone was treated with a 3D surface, which made the study particularly difficult. But in the end, the challenge was met, and a technical solution was found in collaboration between Afracom for manufacturing and Augagneur for installation.
