About this project
To give a special dimension to the circulation, architect Sophie Berthelier wanted a reflective ceiling, to create volumes that pick up light and color.
AFR-K7-Ripple cassettes were used to achieve this.
The crumpled surface of the mirror-polished stainless steel sheet reflects the environment with a blurred effect, giving the whole an artistic character.
On this project, beyond the original rendering, there were also technical requirements to be met:
Acoustic treatment: To achieve this, the surface of the AFR-K7-Ripple cassette was perforated (R2U5 perforation at 12.56% void) to allow acoustic correction by means of an absorbent mat placed inside the cassette.
Invisible framing: The clip-in technique enabled the cassettes to be installed edge-to-edge, while still allowing them to be dismantled individually.
Minimizing connections: To reduce the number of connections, AFR-K7-Ripple cassettes are produced in large sizes (600 x 1800 mm).
Simple to install but effective in its results, the AFR-K7-Ripple cassette gave nobility to the project.
