About this project

The sun also shines in the Wild West of Brittany! Facing due south, the management office needed a solution to block out the morning sun while preserving natural lighting. To deal with this problem, faced with a 3.00 m x 2.00 m bay window, the idea was to create a self-supporting metal veil 2.50 m high using a textured complex made up of several layers of very light, fine expanded metal mesh, and to give it bending inertia by corrugating it to the profile of the BiOnde H31/66 (exclusive to Afracom). Several 0.60 m wide panels were mounted on a sliding system so that they could be arranged according to the situation, to modulate the solar effects.
Two solid sheet metal panels were also installed to reduce excessive light in the early hours of the morning.
